The Beach Bunch, a non-governmental organisation (NGO) dedicated to keeping beaches clean and safe, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Kinabalu Life Saving Society to enhance lifesaving skills and training in Brunei.
This marks the second MoU signing between the two organisations since 2019.
The ceremony took place at the Mahkota Maju Training Centre in Brunei.
Through the renewed partnership, The Beach Bunch and the Kinabalu Life Saving Society aim to develop and deliver high-quality water safety training programmes, organise public awareness campaigns on drowning prevention, and share best practices and resources to maximise their impact.
The MoU was signed by President of The Beach Bunch Rizan Latif and Vice President of the Kinabalu Life Saving Society Mohd Rahim.
Rizan Latif said, “Our renewed collaboration with the Kinabalu Life Saving Society signifies a powerful stride towards elevating lifesaving sports in Brunei. Together, we’re not just training athletes; we’re fostering a community of lifesavers who embody skill, dedication, and sportsmanship. This MoU is a testament to our shared vision of excellence in lifesaving sports.” – James Kon
