On Thursday, October 5th, 2023, Muara Maritime Services (MMS) demonstrated a strong commitment to environmental conservation and employee teamwork through a large-scale beach cleaning campaign at Serasa Beach. Over 200 MMS staff members participated in the event, which was organized in collaboration with EPI People and The Beach Bunch.

The day commenced with essential safety briefings and opening remarks from MMS Technical Managing Director, Christian Meineke. Participants were then organized into 16 teams, engaging not only in cleaning the beach but also in a series of challenges designed to enhance camaraderie and team spirit. Teams competed for titles such as “Most Unique Find,” “Most Waste Collected,” and “Most Challenges Completed,” adding a fun, competitive element to the important task at hand.

The dual goals of promoting environmental awareness and fostering teamwork were successfully met, culminating in the collection of a remarkable 1,597 kilograms of waste from the beach. The event concluded with a prize presentation celebrating the teams' achievements and a group photo session.

This initiative by Muara Maritime Services, supported by EPI People and The Beach Bunch, highlights the significant positive impact corporate volunteering can have on the environment and employee engagement, reinforcing the message that collective efforts are crucial for a healthier and more sustainable future.
