Celebrating World Beach Day with a tangible impact, AIA Brunei partnered with Beach Bunch for a successful beach clean-up. Held on a bright and breezy Sunday morning, the event at Tanjung Batu beach was a great success, drawing over 47 dedicated volunteers.

The initiative began with opening remarks from AIA Brunei General Manager, Cecilia Phan, who highlighted the critical role that community-driven efforts play in protecting Brunei’s natural heritage. Following her speech, volunteers worked together to meticulously remove waste from the coastline.

Their combined efforts resulted in the collection of a significant 211kg of rubbish. This not only contributed to a cleaner and healthier environment for marine life and beachgoers but also reinforced AIA Brunei’s commitment to its environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals.

The clean-up served as a great example of how corporate partnerships and public participation can lead to positive change for our beaches.
